Is UV missing from your grow room?

Ultra violet light lies just outside of the photosynthetically active radiation range but it can have a marked effect on plants, especially morphology. Here we introduce UV and its components (UVA, UVB, and UVC / UV-A, UV-B, UV-C) and how it can stimulate resin production / essential oils in species adapted to elevated UV conditions . We also discuss related safety issues when working with artificial UV radiation sources.
